TOMATO & GREEN CHILE SAUCE You can serve this as hot as you like it, depending on the number of chiles you use. 6 medium fresh tomatoes 1/2 cup thinly sliced or diced canned California green chiles (seeds removed) 1/3 cup minced onion 1 teaspoon salt minced canned jalapeno chiles to taste, about 12 -Or- 12 Fresh Jalapeno5 (depending on how hot you want it,take seeds out of some of the Jalapenos. Peel and finely chop the tomatoes. Mix with green chiles, onion, salt, and as many jalapeno chiles as you please About 1 ja1apeno chile to each cup of sauce will make it noticeably hot. Makes 3 cups
