Original version from Barbara Chau, Livermore, CA. 443-4522 SWEET AND SOUR PORK 3/4 lb. lean pork, cut into small pieces (about 1/2 inch cube) 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper . . . .. 1/3 cup flour 2/3 cup cornstarch . . ?/? cup water . 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp soda oil for deep frying Mix pork with 2/3 tsp salt and the pepper. Mix flour, cornstarch, water, baking powder and soda. Mix well. Mix in pork with the flour mixture. Deep fry pork in hot oil. Serve with sweet and sour sauce. ( just ok ) ( for chicken wings use garlic with flour mix ) ( for shrimp ) ( for onions or other vegetables )
