Original version from Barbara Chau, Livermore, CA. 443-4522 MEAT BALL WITH CHINESE CABBAGE (Lion's Head ? ) 1 lb. ground pork 3. dry Mushrooms soaked in warm water and chopped finely 2 green onions, finely chopped . . 1/4 lb. crab meat ( may omit ) . 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp sherry 1 tbsp cornstarch . 1 1/2 tsp salt 1.egg 1 1/2 lbs. Chinese cabbage, cut into inch pieces 1/2 tsp sugar 1 chicken cube 1/4 cup water cooking oil 1. Mix ground pork, mushrooms, green onions, crab meat, scy sauce, sherry, cornstarch, 1 tsp salt, and egg. Form into walnut size balls. 2. Fry meat balls in frying pan until golden brown or all sides. Set aside. 3. Fry cabbage in frying pan, add salt (1/2 tsp), sugar, chicken cube, and water 4.. Put meat balls on top of the cabbage and simmer for half to one hour. ( OK )
