FRIED MEAT PIE recipe by: Barbara Chau 443-4522 Dough: ( same as Kuo-Tioh) Filling: 1/2 lb. lean ground beef 3/4 lb. napa cabbage, finely chopped 2 green onions,finely chopped 1 tsp salt 1/8 tsp pepper 2 tsp soy sauce 2 tsp sherry 2 tsp cornstarch oil 1. Mix beef, cabbage, green onion, salt, pepper, soy sauce, sherry and cornstarch. 2. Roll the dough into a long rope about 1 inch in diameter, cut dough into 1/2 inch slices. Sprinkle flour on the cut slices, then roll each of the slice into 2 1/2 inches circles. Place 1 1/2 tbsp of the filling into half of the rolled out circles. Place the rest of the circles on top of each filled circles. Pinch edges and seal. 3. Oil a flat pan with 2 tbsp oil, place the filled pies in pan and fry over medium high heat until golden brown. Turn and fry the other side, add a little more oil if necessary. Serve hot.
