CHAR SIU BOW ( barbecue pork bun ) Recipe by: Barbara Chau 1 recipe of the basic dough 1 1/4 cups diced barbecue pork 1 tbsp oil 1 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp soy sauce 2 tsp sesame seed oil 2 tsp cornstarch 3 tbsp water 1 tbsp oyster sauce 1. In a cooking pan, heat the oil, put in bsrbecue pork and stir for a few seconds. 2. Mix the cornstarch with the water. 3. Add sugar, soy sauce, sesame seed oil, cornstarch water mixture, mix well. 4. Turn off heat and add oyster sauce, cool. 5. Divide dough in 16 equal parts, roll out each part into a 3 1/2 inches circle. Place 2 tbsp filling in the center of the circle. Gather the sides into pleats until it meets at the top. Pinch and seal. Place bun on 2x2 pieces of wax paper. Let buns rest for half an hour. 6. Steam buns over boiling water for 7 minutes.
