Old Fashioned Bottom Crust Apple Pie 4 apples (McIntosh, Courtland, Smith) 1/2 C sugar 1 t cinnamon pinch of mace pinch of nutmeg 2 T butter confectioners sugar Whipped cream 1 quick crust pastry 12" circle Fit pastry circle into pie plate and chill for 20 minutes. Fill the crust with apple slices. Sprinkle with sugar and spices, dot with butter. Fold the pastry edges over the apples. Bake at 375 F for 45 minutes or until apple filling is bubbly and crust is golden. Cool slightly and slide the pie out of the dish and onto a serving plate. Sprinkle the crust with confectioners sugar. Serve with whipped cream.
